Power Play is fully funded by the Calgary Police Youth Foundation – a registered charity focused on keeping children and youth in Calgary & area safe from victimization and crime. In hockey, a powerplay occurs when one team has a player or players in the penalty box, leaving them with fewer players on the ice. Power Play helps to foster trust and understanding between the police and members of diverse and marginalized communities while helping to make sport accessible to those who may not have ready access to recreational sport.
